Heather Carrier, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist |  LMFT109786

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep passion for trauma recovery, somatic healing, and nervous system regulation. My approach is rooted in Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory, honoring the importance of safety, connection, and the healing power of relationship. I believe that we heal through connection—both with others and within ourselves.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years immersed in the world of dance. Movement was my first language and taught me that the body holds stories and wisdom that words often cannot reach. That embodied foundation led me back to the body as a vital part of therapeutic healing, and it continues to guide my work today.

I work with both children and adults, using an integrative approach that supports the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My work includes somatic interventions, nervous system support, and trauma-informed care that is individualized and compassionate. I’m currently pursuing certification in both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), allowing me to deepen my trauma-focused work with clients across the lifespan.

Whether I’m engaging a child in healing play or guiding an adult through somatic or EMDR work, I offer a warm, grounded space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. My goal is to help each person reconnect with their inner safety, access their innate resilience, and move toward lasting transformation.

Healing is not just about coping—it’s about coming home to yourself. I’m honored to walk alongside my clients on that journey.
