Rachelle (Shelly) Clement -Gilpin, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist |  LMFT115482

As a therapist, I have learned the significant all-encompassing impact trauma can have on an individual. Often a client's diagnosis of PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar, and ADHD are related to early childhood and adult trauma, as well as a lack of early secure attachment to their primary caregiver. I find hope in knowing that although these experiences can be life-altering, neuroscience has taught us that our brains are flexible and very capable of healing. The level of connection we have with other humans (and God), is important to our growth, healing, and our capacity for love.

My primary focus is coming alongside my clients of all ages, individuals, couples and families, to help them navigate a path toward connection and healing. The various manifestations of distress, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, or relational conflict, frequently stem from a lack of connection to love and one's authentic self.

I believe that therapy provides an opportunity to repair attachment in our relationships, as well as provides a safe place to explore, process, and practice healthy attachment with others and ourselves.

In 2014, I earned a Master of Science in Counseling; Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix. I became a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Practitioner as an Associate in 2016 and went on to be licensed in 2019.  I utilize TBRI® both in the office and in home-based sessions to support families in developing the skills to repair attachment trauma and build secure attachments with one another. I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trained therapist working toward Certification. I utilize EMDR with clients to reduce the disturbance of traumatic memories which supports the alignment of their identity and promotes overall well-being. I am also a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

I see clients in person at 978 W Alluvial Ave Suite 107 Fresno, CA 93711.
